WP6 – Maintenance

Studies will deal with Maintenance & Repair of suborbital vehicles. The general goal of this work package will to identify, organize and optimize the different activities necessary to maintain vehicles flight worthiness and level of performance.

On the contrary to previous teams studies, work will not deal with general applicability of aeronautical maintenance to suborbital vehicles, but will be dedicated to main subsystems analysis (as precise as possible).

 

Address one of the following topics:

  1. Vehicle main structure (airframe):
    • Standard tasks to be performed (if any) between flights,
    • Tasks schedules,
    • Necessary associated means (tools, infrastructures, NDT controls),
    • Items criticality classification,
  2. Vehicle propulsion:
    • Standard tasks to be performed (if any) between flights,
    • Tasks schedules,
    • Necessary associated means (tools, infrastructures, NDT controls),
    • Items criticality classification,
  3. Sub-systems (electrical, electromechanical, …):
    • Standard tasks to be performed (if any) between flights,
    • Tasks schedules,
    • Necessary associated means (tools, infrastructures, NDT controls),
    • Items criticality classification,
  4. Global integration:
    • All tasks integration into a thorough Maintenance Plan,
    • General schedules,
    • Proposed optimization.
