This work package applies only to the vehicle servicing low orbit (type 2 vehicle).
Against the backdrop of a transport and mobility sector that is both globalised and highly competitive, given the many existing technical solutions, you will analyse the conditions under which the market for orbital flights can take off. Taking into account planetary boundaries, the increasing scarcity of natural resources, and national and international strategies for decarbonising industry and its applications, you will analyse various business models likely to support the development of this type of transport, the key success factors that are currently lacking, and the barriers and constraints facing this market (including regulatory aspects, taxation mechanisms, support for innovation, etc. )
Taking the rebound effect into account, and with the aim of ensuring that this market does not become its target, you will devise a market strategy, possibly developing circular economy approaches or commercial breakthroughs to be implemented in order to avoid overcrowding the airspace, whilst still providing this service.
You will propose avenues for consideration to ensure that the market becomes attractive and profitable.
