O
ur work has been done in 2 times. First of
all, we analyzed the previous works to
define as precisely as possible the avionics
inside the VSH. To do so, we made an
internal and an external Functional
analysis.
Then, we chose 3 different innovations. We
studied the feasibility of each one.
AFDX On WiFi
One of the main problems in every kind of
aircraft is the Weight of the cables. Cables
take too much space and carry weight (5
km per meter of plane which represents 60
km in the VSH). To solve this problem, we
have decided to replace all the internal
wiring by WiFi transmitters/receivers.
AFDX was clearly the best network
protocol to set up as it provides reliability,
redundancy and security.
Vocal control and dashboard
We have decided to revolutionize the
cockpit’s dashboard to make it simpler and
more instinctive. We propose programming
tactile screens equipped with voice
recognition software so that the pilot can
post and command every device with his
voice.
OLED Technology
The main goal of the suborbital flight is
tourism. This market is extremely
competitive and indeed, it remains very
important to improve the passenger’s
experience in order to stand out from the
rivals. To do so, we propose to set up
FOLED (Flexible Organic Light-Emitting
Diode) screens on the ground and on the
internal side of the VSH. This way, the
passengers will have an unobstructed view
of space and the earth.
