Introduction to the Challenge

Presentationdefi

The Challenge, proposed by the ACE and its industrial and institutional partners, allows the students to participate to the study of a manned suborbital vehicle. The first proposed vehicle is is a reusable manned one for local suborbital flights, able to reach 100 km of altitude, the edge of space. For the 15th exercise, studying an other type of manned suborbital vehicle, able to hypersonic point-to-point transportation (taking less than two hours to travel from Paris to Tokyo for example) is proposed.

The students have the opportunity to work on the suborbital plane by choosing one topic: propulsion, avionics, legal aspects, etc. New solutions applicable to vehicles under development are expected by the Partners.

The students participating to the Student Aerospace Challenge will enjoy the privilege to add to their education an original experience which brings them closer to the aerospace sector.
